Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
The carpal tunnel is a passageway or a tube surrounded by the ligaments and bones on the palm side of the hands.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a condition that is caused by pressure on the median nerve which leads to weakness, numbness, and tingling in the arms and hands. Repetitive hand movements such as squeezing or working at a computer (typing, using a mouse, etc.), for example, contribute to this condition.
