Neck Pain
With Radiculopathy (Pinched Nerve)
When the head is in the forward position, the upper neck needs to be in extension to keep the head looking at the horizon. This position of the neck can compress the nerves that feed the upper extremities, causing the symptoms mentioned below.
Signs & Symptoms
People with neck pain with radiculopathy may experience:
- Pain traveling down the arm, including past the elbow
- Discomfort during activity and on one side more than the other
- Additional symptoms can include weakness, numbness, and tingling into the arm
